With a proportion of women of about one third, RISC Software GmbH is already above the industry average. We aim to systematically build upon this strength with the help of our dedicated funding initiatives.

Our goal is to increase the proportion of women in the company while simultaneously motivating and preparing employees for leadership positions. The compatibility of work, family, education and leisure is very important to us. In addition, we promote team spirit through numerous health-promoting measures and leisure activities.

The visibility of women in IT is already well established at RISC Software GmbH and is set to be further increased through the proposed initiative. Upon completion of the preliminary projects, we were able to raise the proportion of women from 20% to the current 31%. The goal is to continue increasing this share in the coming years.

This project aims to raise awareness of diversity, internationality, inclusion, and equality within RISC Software GmbH. Diversity training sessions, inclusion workshops, and a keynote — tailored to the wishes and needs of female employees and delivered by external experts — will be offered.

RISCversity

The two-year project RISCversity is designed to support the long-term goal of further increasing the proportion of women. This objective is now being expanded to include a comprehensive diversity strategy.

The aim was, on the one hand, to further increase the proportion of women within the company and, on the other, to recruit employees as project managers. Strengthening RISC Software GmbH as an attractive employer for women in technology was also a key focus.

FUTURISC

The clear objective was to increase the proportion of women at RISC Software GmbH. During the project period, the number of female employees in software development increased from two to seven. A strong focus was placed on offering internship positions.

Roxana Holom, Data Science Project Manager and researcher at RISC Software GmbH, has been nominated for the Diversity4Innovation Award by Upper Austrian Research GmbH. The award honors individuals who strengthen diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusion in research and innovation.
