What is your Name, how Old are You, where are You from?
My name is Christian Huber. I am 21 years old and come from Kematen an der Krems. I study at Johannes Kepler University Linz and, during my internship, developed a web application for the exhibit as part of the SafeSign project.
How Did You Become Aware of RISC Software?
Through my cousin, who works here in Logistics Informatics. My interest was sparked by his interesting stories about the projects he is currently working on.
In which Department Were You Working and What Were your Tasks?
I worked in the Domain-Specific-Applications department. There, I had the opportunity to contribute to the mobile SafeSign exhibit. This exhibit allows visitors to playfully test how an AI, which recognizes traffic signs, handles damaged or dirty traffic signs. My task was to design a web application where one can modify a traffic sign (using various filters) until the AI makes a mistake. Additionally, I was also allowed to make changes to the hardware.
How Did You Experience your Work Environment?
The working atmosphere was very pleasant. You always felt comfortable and well-cared for from day one. For technical questions, you could always turn to someone; you never felt left in the lurch. What I also really appreciate is that you don’t just spend time together during work, but also while cooking during lunch breaks or at company events.
Will You Continue Working at RISC Software GmbH?
Currently, rather not, as the commute is quite long. However, I could definitely imagine doing a bachelor’s thesis there, as working at RISC Software truly brought me a lot of joy.
