My name is Bernd Zeiler, I am 28 years old, and I come from the beautiful city of Freistadt. I am studying Software Engineering at FH Hagenberg, and during my internship, I focused on platforms for innovative websites.

How Did You Become Aware of RISC Software?

I became aware of RISC Software GmbH through a good friend who has been working here for some time and always spoke enthusiastically about it. I also came across the company at FH Next in Hagenberg, where I am currently studying Software Engineering. The combination of a personal recommendation and professional contact at the fair immediately piqued my interest.

In which Department Were You Working and What Were your Tasks?

I completed my internship in the “Domain Specific Applications” department. There, I had the opportunity to develop innovative websites and test modern platforms like Firebase, Supabase, and Laravel Nova, which offer Backend-as-a-Service solutions. It was great to work with these current technologies and continuously learn new things.

How Did You Experience your Work Environment?

The work environment at RISC Software was simply fantastic! My colleagues, not only in my department but throughout the entire company, were incredibly friendly and helpful. I immediately felt welcome and was able to work very effectively in a supportive atmosphere. This openness and camaraderie made my internship an entirely positive experience.

Will You Continue Working at RISC Software GmbH?

It’s very likely that I will complete my mandatory professional internship in the 6th semester of my bachelor’s degree at RISC Software GmbH again next year. Working here was so much fun that I can also easily imagine joining RISC permanently after graduation.
