What is your Educational Background?
I graduated from HTL Braunau am Inn with a specialization in Electronics. Afterward, I decided to study Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Johannes Kepler University Linz. Through my diploma thesis in route planning, I came into contact with the Institute for Production and Logistics Management at the Faculty of Business and Management, where I also worked during my doctoral studies.
What Motivated You to Pursue Technical Studies?
Technology has attracted and fascinated me since childhood. When I got an old Commodore VC 20 as a child, I was fascinated by the possibilities it offered, and it was clear to me that I wanted to go into computer science. During my studies, the opportunity arose to work scientifically in the field of optimization. I immediately accepted this offer.
How Long Have You been Working at RISC Software GmbH?
I have been working at RISC Software GmbH since September 2014.
What are your Responsibilities at RISC Software GmbH?
I work in software development within the Data Intelligence unit and manage projects through their various phases. Initially, this involves gathering customer wishes and requirements, creating a concept, and then implementing it into a product.
What Do You like about your Job?
Above all, I enjoy the variety and challenge in each project. The diverse tasks mean you are constantly learning new things. Additionally, it’s interesting to gain insights into various industries.
