Unit Leader
Stefanie Kritzinger-Griebler studied mathematics in Salzburg and is the unit leader of the Data Intelligence department.
What is your Educational Background?
I completed my Matura at the Franciscan High School (Oberstufenrealgymnasium) in Vöcklabruck and subsequently completed my mathematics degree at the University of Salzburg. After my studies, I worked at the University of Vienna in the Department of Production and Logistics and at the Johannes Kepler University Linz in the Institute of Production and Logistics Management. During this time, I completed my PhD in Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Vienna.
What Motivated You to Pursue Technical Studies?
Even during my school years, I was an enthusiastic mathematician and therefore very interested in natural sciences and technology. The decision of which field of study was right for me was very easy: I enrolled in mathematics at the University of Salzburg, which presented me with exciting challenges. For my diploma thesis, I was able to develop statistical analyses for optimizing emergency transports, which gave me insight into the optimization of transport problems. When I was offered the opportunity to continue working scientifically in this field, I seized it, and to this day, I greatly enjoy dealing with exciting problems in the production and logistics sector.
How Long Have You been Working at RISC Software GmbH?
I have been with RISC Software GmbH since October 2014.
What are your Responsibilities at RISC Software GmbH?
Since the beginning of 2019, I have been leading the Data Intelligence Unit, which makes my field of activity very diverse. My responsibilities include the content-related and commercial organization, planning, and coordination of my colleagues, project acquisition and development, as well as the supervision of customer and research projects.
What Do You like about your Job?
I really like that my work is very diverse. On the one hand, I get to manage and develop the Data Intelligence Unit team and contribute to new (corporate) strategies, and on the other hand, I participate in shaping exciting projects. It’s a great feeling to implement unique projects and see that significant added value can be generated through them.
Would You Choose to Study Engineering Again?
Absolutely!
